Drs. J.J. Veldhuizen


Jurriën Veldhuizen (1976) studied economics at the University of Groningen (RUG) and Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia, USA). He is director at Deloitte Real Estate Advisory with a focus on Public Private Partnerships. Prior to his employment at Deloitte he worked for Insight Partners (Boston, USA), Draaijer & Partners Project Management and was co-founder of the internet company Medutronix. Jurriën is co-author of several publications on public private partnerships. And he is the chairman of the Mörzer Bruijns Foundation.


Drs. A.P. van Veldhuizen

Executive Secretary

Adriaan van Veldhuizen (1982) studied history and later on philosophy (cum laude) at the University of Groningen (RUG). He worked as a political assistant to a member of the First Chamber of parliament, and is currently working on his PhD thesis at the Research Institute for History of the University of Leiden. The thesis is on the culture within political parties at the beginning of the 20th century. He is also an editor for the magazine Socialisme en Democratie (Socialism and Democracy). As executive secretary of the Mörzer Bruijns Foundation he is responsible for the internal organization.


Drs. B. Huneman


Barbara Huneman (1978) first started studying law in 1997 but stopped to become a scuba instructor in Australia. After 4 years of teaching and working as a volunteer on marine life conservation projects in Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and New Zealand she studied marine biology at the University of Groningen (RUG). In 2006 she finished her MA in Energy and Environmental Studies. For the first year after her graduation she worked as a freelance project manager on sustainable energy projects after which she started to work for the local government. Currently she works on energy projects at the department of economics in Groningen. She is married and has a daughter. At the Mörzer Bruijns Foundation she is responsible for its financial affairs.
